Each year, the Transportation Intermediaries Association (TIA) offers brokers the opportunity to gain a Certified Transportation Broker (CTB) certification. This rigorous online course is designed to increase sales skills, business acumen, and risk management capabilities, and culminates in a lengthy exam. Those who receive the accreditation at the exam’s completion are awarded the highest broker certification that exists.
This year, GW Transportation’s own Scott Quiner was the recipient of this lofty and hard-earned accreditation. On what motivated him to take on the task of becoming CTB certified, Scott said that it comes down to leading by example.
“If you’re in a leadership position, I think it’s important that you take as many opportunities as possible to work on your profession”, Scott said.
